The Foundation for Studies and Research on Women (FEIM) is an Argentinean non-governmental, not-for-profit organization created in 1989 by a group of professional women who are gender specialists, in order to improve the social, working, legal, political, economical, and health conditions of women, girls, teenagers and young adults. Equality between women and men in full respect of the Human Rights of women requires the elimination of gender-based inequalities and the improvement of women and girls\u2019 access to education, work, healthcare, and full social and political participation. For women and girls to have the capacity to freely make all decisions related to their lives, including those concerning their sexuality and reproduction, without being subjected to any type of violence, coercion or discrimination. For women and men to have equal opportunities to access and enjoy their rights to education, healthcare, work, political participation, and economic resources, in order to guarantee their independence, as well as individual and collective development. To defend and promote the fulfillment of all of the Human Rights of women and girls.<\/p>\n

To contribute to improving the life conditions or sustainable development for women and girls. To advocate to achieve equality between women and men. How do we do this? FEIM develops programs, projects, research and other activities on the following topics: Women\u2019s Rights, Gender Equality, Political Participation and Leadership, Labor Integration, Environment and Sustainable Development, the Elderly, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Teenage Pregnancy, Sexuality, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and HIV\/Aids, Violence against Women, Comprehensive Sex Education, Access to Public Information, and Citizen Monitoring. These activities are carried out alongside, or in collaboration with municipalities, universities, local communities\u2019 organizations, and NGOs for women, youth, and other members of the community. The research and systemization of national, regional and international information about the condition of women, teenagers, and children. The production, collation, and archiving of both printed and audiovisual materials on women, teenagers, and children. Following and evaluating agreements, conventions, and other national, regional, and international commitments that affect the lives and rights of women and girls.<\/p>\n

Public advocacy for the defense, recognition and guarantee of the Human Rights of women, teenagers and girls, especially those relating to health, including sexual and reproductive, and the right to a life free from violence. Training women, teenagers and girls, and developing their professional abilities and communitarian resources for the defense and the enforceability of their Human Rights. The coordination of activities with organizations for women, teenagers, young people, children and Human Rights, at a national, regional and international level. Advising both governmental and non-governmental organizations, for the implementation of public policy relating to gender. Advocacy for the sanction of laws, decrees, and other regulations, as well as for the implementation and application of policies to improve the condition of women, teenagers, and children. Taking legal actions against governmental organizations due to non-implementation, amicus curiae, request of public information, issuing reports to UN organisms, and other actions linked to citizen monitoring.<\/p>\n

Esta nueva edici\u00f3n del Diccionario del espa\u00f1ol actual parte de la publicada en 1999 y contin\u00faa la labor del equipo dirigido inicialmente por Manuel Seco; en la presente edici\u00f3n, como en la anterior (2011), bajo direcci\u00f3n de Olimpia Andr\u00e9s y supervisi\u00f3n editorial digital de Carlos Dom\u00ednguez. Adem\u00e1s de ampliar la anterior en m\u00e1s de 8.000 lemas, est\u00e1 digitalizada y se ofrece online de manera gratuita en la web de la Fundaci\u00f3n BBVA, permitiendo al usuario distintos niveles de profundidad: puede realizar una visualizaci\u00f3n simple, propia de los diccionarios habituales, o una avanzada, que muestra informaci\u00f3n sobre las funciones gramaticales de los distintos elementos de la definici\u00f3n y los textos en que se basa. Ya se encuentra disponible la tercera edici\u00f3n del Diccionario del espa\u00f1ol actual, obra de referencia en la lexicograf\u00eda del castellano que el acad\u00e9mico Manuel Seco proyect\u00f3 a finales de los a\u00f1os sesenta del pasado siglo. Esta obra ha supuesto un gran avance en el campo de la lexicograf\u00eda, ya que es el primer diccionario que ofrece un inventario l\u00e9xico sistem\u00e1tico y riguroso del idioma, as\u00ed como informaci\u00f3n sobre el funcionamiento gramatical de cada palabra con ejemplos reales de uso.<\/p>\n

Casi en el arranque del trabajo conducente a la construcci\u00f3n del diccionario, Manuel Seco cont\u00f3 con la colaboraci\u00f3n de la lexic\u00f3grafa Olimpia Andr\u00e9s, que fue directora de la publicaci\u00f3n en su segunda edici\u00f3n (2011) y lo es tambi\u00e9n en esta tercera en versi\u00f3n digital. A su vez, la tarea de documentaci\u00f3n de Gabino Ramos, el tercero de los autores de la obra desde sus inicios, ha sido fundamental. En las tres ediciones han trabajado los tres autores, Gabino Ramos y Olimpia Andr\u00e9s hasta el momento de su publicaci\u00f3n, y Manuel Seco hasta que razones de salud se lo impidieran (2017). El trabajo de digitalizaci\u00f3n realizado por la Fundaci\u00f3n BBVA ha contado con la supervisi\u00f3n de Carlos Dom\u00ednguez, que se ha encargado de dise\u00f1ar y coordinar la conversi\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n del diccionario en papel a su actual versi\u00f3n electr\u00f3nica. El Diccionario, en esta tercera edici\u00f3n, registra el l\u00e9xico documentado en Espa\u00f1a durante los \u00faltimos setenta y tres a\u00f1os (desde 1950), m\u00e1s de ochenta y tres mil lemas recogidos en un corpus de unos tres mil libros y quinientas publicaciones peri\u00f3dicas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
